Is the Fireray 5000 obsolete?
What is the replacement for the Fireray 5000 and what are the benefits of upgrading?
Fireray Hub Reflective is the recommended replacement for Fireray 5000. As our latest generation reflective beam smoke detector, it provides a future-supported upgrade path and includes benefits such as support for up to three detector heads from a single hub and Light Cancellation Technology™.
Can I still buy a Fireray 5000?
No. The Fireray 5000 range was removed from sale on 31 March 2026.
Do I need to replace my Fireray 5000 immediately?
Not necessarily. If your existing system is operating correctly, obsolescence does not mean it must be replaced immediately. However, we recommend planning an upgrade in advance to avoid relying on obsolete equipment.
What should I do if my Fireray 5000 develops a fault, requires replacement parts, or I need upgrade advice?
As the Fireray 5000 range is now obsolete, we recommend assessing the system for upgrade to Fireray Hub Reflective if replacement equipment is required.
