Technical Details:
Dynamic Beam Phasing for Complex Geometries
The Fireray One incorporates Dynamic Beam Phasing, a technology that allows multiple beam detectors to operate in close proximity without causing signal interference. By sequencing the timing of each unit’s light pulses, the system ensures that a detector’s receiver will only recognise the signal from its corresponding emitter. This enables flexible installation in challenging layouts, such as parallel-facing beams in long corridors or irregular configurations in large, open areas, preventing the risk of false alarms caused by cross-talk between units.
Advanced Light Cancellation Technology™
To ensure reliable performance in environments with high ambient light, the Fireray One is equipped with Light Cancellation Technology™. This system actively measures ambient light levels, including direct sunlight and high-intensity artificial lighting, and filters them out from the infrared signal used for smoke detection. This prevents high-lux conditions from saturating the receiver and triggering nuisance alarms, ensuring the detector remains stable and effective in challenging settings like glass atria and modern architectural spaces.
Building Movement and Contamination Compensation
The Fireray One maintains operational integrity through two key automated features. Building Movement Tracking™ uses sophisticated algorithms to continuously monitor for and correct minor shifts in alignment caused by natural building settlement or thermal expansion. Simultaneously, Contamination Compensation adjusts the signal sensitivity to account for the gradual accumulation of dust and dirt on the optical surfaces. Together, these features ensure long-term reliability and significantly reduce the need for manual maintenance interventions.
